Commercial Space

The commercial space wiki is an attempt to build on the data that SpaceRef has accumulated over the last nine years. The data we've been collecting is in the form of press releases, mission status reports, documents etc. from nearly 1500 companies, organizations, universities and space agencies. We'll be tying some of that in this wiki as we go forward.
What is Commercial Space?
Commercial space is the act of making a profit from business ventures related to outer space and primarily in low earth orbit, at this time, and is at the heart of an ever expanding presence in space by humanity, with both public and private companies making significant contributions.
Public companies include the likes of Boeing, Orbital, Lockheed Martin while private companies include Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX), Malin Space Science Systems and Space Adventures.
